Background: Reynold Ruslan “Ren” Feldman is a retired university professor of English and administrator (academic director, dean, and vice president), with a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in English from Yale. He also has experience as a nonprofit administrator, consultant, and fundraiser. For the first half of 2012 he is a volunteer teacher, along with his wife, Cedar Barstow, at a private school in Indonesian Central Borneo. The author of five published books on wisdom and interfaith relations and the editor of two more, he also edits graduate papers, tutors students, and is currently co-authoring a book for the general public with his wife on the right use of power and doing research for a history of interfaith tolerance. He has studied twelve languages and currently uses six on a regular basis. He hopes on his return from Indonesia to begin facilitating RUP workshops for parents, teachers, university and other nonprofit professionals.
