Linda Baird
Boulder, CO |
(303) 507-6310
firewoman619@msn.com |
Focus: Women, Corporate Management Structures
Background: I am a body-centerd psychotherapist
with offices in Denver and Boulder. I work with depression,
anxiety, shame, childhood trauma, PTSD, and relationship
issues including domestic violence. I am also educated
as a biochemist and worked as a research scientist
for 16 years where I studied brain chemistry related
to emotional, psychological, and physiological difficulties.
I have trained at the Institute for Emotional-Kinesthetic
Psychotherapy in Boston, MA and the Hakomi Somatics
Institute in Boulder, CO. I am also a certified Phoenix
Rising Yoga Therapy practitioner. I am a teaching assistant
with the Hakomi Institute and have assisted in the
Somatic Psychology graduate program at Naropa University.
I am currently in the Licensed Professional Counselor
graduate program at Regis University. I facilitate
groups and counsel survivors of domestic abuse at Boulder
County Safehouse as part of my degree program. Focus:
Women and Power, and Corporate Management. As I have
worked with issues of domestic violence at Boulder
County Safehouse, I am in awe as I watch women blossom
and grow, especially in group work. I offer workshops,
and on-going groups in the Denver area that will address
issues of women and empowerment based on “The
Right Use of Power”. Having worked in the industrial/corporate
environment for 16 years, I have experienced both gross
misuse as well as right use of power in management,
although sadly not enough of the latter. I am inspired
to bring this work into the corporate management structure
with the vision of creating an entirely new, and hopeful,
paradigm.
