FAQ

How do the mini-courses work?
Earning CEUs from Right Use of Power is easy and affordable. Purchase the book Right
Use of Power one time and you’ll have all the material you need to complete all 24 minicourses.
To complete a mini-course, simply download the lesson, complete the required
reading and then submit your answers to the assessment questions online, my email or by
mail. Locate the course you wish to complete in the list of CEU mini-courses and click on
the appropriate link; you will then receive the instructions you need to complete the
assessment and pay for your CEUs. Within 3-5 days of submitting your answers, you will
receive feedback from Cedar and your official documentation certificate.

What are the assessment questions like?
The assessment is open book and requires short answer and/or essay responses.

How long do I have to complete the course?
Please take as long as you need to complete the courses. You do not need to pay until
you submit the answers to the assessment.

Who will receive the documentation certificate once I’ve completed a minicourse?
We send the certificate to you. It will be up to you to complete any required paperwork and
submit a copy of the documentation to your professional organization.

What organizations accept CEUs from Right Use of Power?
We are accredited and approved as a continuing education provider by The National
Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC), and National Certification Board for Therapeutic
Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). Click here for more information. If your organization is
not listed, check to see if it grants reciprocal credit for courses approved by any of these
organizations. Many do. If not, please contact me and I will look into pursuing accreditation
with your organization.

How are CEU credits calculated?
CE hours are calculated at 4,000 words per CE hour.

What information is shown on the documentation certificate?
The documentation certificate will include your name, a list of mini-courses completed, the
CEU hours associated with each course, the date of completion, and the provider
numbers you will need when submitting this information to your organization.
